I recently bought Monday Night Combat via Steam for the PC. I am
having severe slowdown issues in the whole game - the menus are very
laggy and the game runs extremely slowly (2-3 fps maybe) and it's
    basically unplayable.

    Here are my PC stats:

    Windows 7 32-bit
    3 GB RAM
    Intel Quad-core Q6600 2.4 GHZ
Nvidia 8800 GT (with latest drivers)

I have tried reinstalling the game, running it at low settings,
running it with sound off (mnc.exe -nosound), etc. to no avail. Please let me know what I
    can do.

a couple things to check/try.. mostly shooting in the dark here though

in your nvidia control panel, make sure you have anti-aliasing turned off for MNC. Maybe try disabling threaded optimization

try reinstalling your video drivers, but choose the clean install option

try using alt-enter to switch to windowed mode. not a good permanent solution, but may provide insight if it improves things

and I'm just curious.. why would you get Win7 32-bit instead of 64?

Thanks for the suggestions. I will try them.

As for why I have Win7 32-bit, I just went it with years ago when I was installing it. I know 64-bit is the better option but I don't have a great need of it as of now.

What do you use for antivirus?
It might be flipping out and scanning MNC constantly

I use AVG. I disabled it and ran the game but nothing.

    Hmmm

Get CoreTemp and CPU-Z and monitor your CPU temperatures and clock speed while you run the game. Make sure the CPU isn't overheating and that it's running at the proper speed

Get something similar for your video card (GPU-Z or something else like EVGA Precision) and do the same for it

Are you able to run other Unreal engine games? Bioshock, Mass Effect, or a bunch of others

Yup I have both Mass Effect 1 and Bioshock and they run fine.

I already have CPU-Z and GPU-Z. Should have thought of that. Let me see.

Ok so GPU-Z does not report any change in temperature (though memory use is increased). It's almost like it's not being used at all.

I would really like it if someone official gave a response. I sent them an email earlier so hopefully they respond. I have seen some other people (but not enough) have this issue. They do mention on the Steam forums that if your game is slow in menus also play it with no sound ("mnc.exe -nosound"), but that didn't help either
