Why on earth would this game save 14 files on my D: HD when the game is installed on my C:???

Sounds like some poor coding here. I will not be back to read replies or ever buy another one of your 'games' again. This is complete BS. There is NO reason a game should be doing anything on a HD it is not installed on.

Flat out, this is retarded, I have important data on other HD's in my computer and you DO NOT NEED TO TOUCH THEM!

As poor as the code is, I do not trust that your game will not damage my data at some point. Learn to respect your customers and do not do crap like this!

    lol.

You're not the only person in the world with 2+ hard drives, and no one else has reported this issue. I just checked, MNC seems to have kept all of it's files on my primary hard drive.

Profile files are saved to your My Documents folder intentionally. This is done with all UE3 games, so it's hardly poor coding on Uber's behalf.

Game files go where Steam is installed.

Anyway, since you won't be back; stop being such a scrub and fix it yourself. It's not poor coding, it's PEBKAC.

i do hate the fact that games install stuff on my C: partition, but have gotten used to it i suppose. i can't understand the necessity for it at all, but not being a code monkey, there's probably concerns i am unaware of.

    OP is a child.

wow.. I'm not even sure where to start. This is a Windows thing with user changeable files and My Documents is where we need to put those files. I'm just amazed at the level of intensity in some people where this could have been answered with a question instead of a screaming rant. I would suggest you remove your computer from the internet because it is not a safe place.

It uses the typical multi-user file system that most modern applications use. User preferences are stored in their user directory and nothing is directly written to the software install without explicit permission.

Edit: I wonder if he is talking about the VS 2008 redist junk, there are many games that do that, my storage drives games a few odd files on the root however I don't think this is limited to MNC. That is the fault of Microsoft's redist extractor being stupid.

Why both 2005 and 2008 re-dist in the support anyway? Usually I'd think a developer would commit to one ide.
