Game hard locks my PC at the start of a match.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. I start up a Blitz single player match or join a server, I pick my class, and after a few moments the game simply freezes, stops working. Not even alt-tabbing does anything. Worked fine before the last update, this started happening after I downloaded the new patch, yesterday. Yes, I did restart Steam and my PC. I figured I should post a new thread since it's not exactly a crash.
