My laptop has 2 graphics cards, a 63om and integrated and both drivers are up to date. When i run the game on the invidia card it is super laggy, VERY buggy and sometimes crashes. So I changed it to run in integrated and it works like it should BUT when i join a multiplayer game (not a singleplayer against bots) it crashes. It never gets past "planets generating". So i cant play multiplayer at all Also i noticed that the graphics settings are stuck on high when i use the nvidia card and although it says its on low it isn't really. I can't find anyone else on the forums with the same problem so I thought I would post it. Thank you for helping me!
Ok now it doesn't work at all on integrated graphics, crashes every time... I found that i could change the graphics settings with the Nvidia card while in the planet builder but it would stay laggy in the game.
It's important to note that the 630M is a very low end graphics chip. It performs at a little less than half the level of a two generation older card, the GTS450. While it is in our min spec, it's a very low performant card. You should be able to set your settings to low, and you'll want to make sure that each setting is aimed as low as possible. Without your DXdiag, it's hard to say if your integrated chip should even be able to run the game, but it is possible that it doesn't have the necessary support to run. Also, make sure you're running the absolute latest drivers - that may mean grabbing the beta drivers off of Nvidia's site.
Whether is or not similar to the subject matter, I have Nvidea 780 ti. (win 8.1 x 64 Pro) But I can honestly say that after the last update (GeForce 340.43 BETA Driver http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us) Not only have absolutely no lag, as the all existing bugs where kill,like i have with version 337.88 WHQL Driver. The image quality increased, set with everything on ultra ,fpf do not have benchmark them yet but i will , but the game runs completely fluid even on late game .....
I didn't know about the beta drivers, so i downloaded it and it didn't change it at all. I geuss my computer just needs an upgrade... But thank you for answering so fast.
Just though you guys would be interested, I bought a new computer I now have a gtx 760... That is called dedication to a game
