Hello. When i try to load into a custom game or even try to view a replay. the game crashes and say PA.EXE has stopped working. i tried the --nomods i tried increasing virtual memory to 14gb and even deleted my mods. however it still is crashing. i would love some help with this.
Your paging files shows as 42GB. You probably don't need or want that much. Code: Page File: 4149MB used, 42507MB available With 16GB of RAM you're probably better setting to automatically manage paging file size for all drives. That log doesn't show a PA crash and neither does you dxdiag. Do you have a log showing a crash at the end? Also does it happen in both full screen and window mode? Your dxdiag does show two crashes for dxdiag which is not a good sign. There are also some bad_module_info crashes which started for many people after the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. Those are usually caused by out of date drivers so make sure EVERYTHING is up to date. Any recent software or hardware changes? Overclocking? You should update your motherboard BIOS for better K series CPU support: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z87-D3HP-rev-1x#support-dl You'll want the F7 BIOS performance enhancements for your i5-4670K CPU.
Once you have updated your BIOS and drivers please upload a new dxdiag. Please make sure Coherent UI is also using the GTX 750 Ti and not the HD Graphics 4600. Does PA also crash in window mode? All the logs show PA starting at 1920 x 1200 in full screen mode. And does it also crash on lower settings? All the logs show highest settings. Try disabling the steam overlay and checking for any other type of overlay / recording. Also try disabling spacedesk. Then try the windows compatibility options: https://wiki.palobby.com/wiki/Windows#Test_Windows_Compatibility_Options I'm working on a new crash reporter to fix the internal server error in your crash upload logs. Until that is done can you please zip and upload any PA crash dumps from: C:\Users\EATINN~1\AppData\Local\Temp\ look for dmp files that mention Planetary Annihilation when opened in notepad You can also change the location of where crashes are saved by setting the following environment variable: MINIDUMP_DIRECTORY https://wiki.palobby.com/wiki/Windows#Crash_Minidump_Location
Still recommend you update everything including BIOS. You should get a slight speed boost with BIOS update.
