Hey guys, just installed the game and wanted to start it. After hitting Play the launcher crashes with this little message at the end of that post. Since this is a german message I try to translate it for you guys: The application couldn't be started correctly (0xc000007b) Click "OK" to close the application The message pretty much tells nothing, but maybe you guys have an idea. Thanks! System Specs if needed: Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Intel Core i5 2500K GeForce GTX670 Windforce3X 2GB 4x4GB Kingston HyperX DDR3
I had this yesterday; turns out my d3dx9_43.dll was 32 bit. Forcing directX to update it, or finding a 64 bit version on another computer and copy-pasting it over should fix it (this is what I did).
Thanks but I'm not sure how to do what you told me :/ Tried to force the update but got the message I already have the latest version installed. Duno how to get a x64 version since I can't find any different versions in the web. All I found was a sidenote telling users to save the dll in both, System32 and SystemWOW64 folder what indicates that there arent any different versions for this file. On my system it is saved in both and while checking DXDiag I am also able to switch between both versions.
Yeah, that was the same problem I had. I did a fresh install of DirectX on another 64-bit computer, and copied the file over from there. To do this, you need another computer though.
Tried the file from my laptop, same result :/ €dit: Will try Lennards suggestion now €dit2: Tried downloading both files and where always told I've already installed the latest version. I also only see my GTX670, nothing to see from the HD4000.
Try downloading newest directx files from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... x?id=8109# It's not the standard end user installer, so it goes and installs all the libraries. I had the same problem, and it fixed that.
Thanks for that, but it didn't help. Still the same message and I can't get into game But congrats for reaching the Stanley Cup Finals, Go Bruins!
