I think it would be nice to have a command to lock the Galactic View off. My idea for this would be to stop the view from zooming all the way out to the Galactic View (showing planets) when you are on one planet. It could be a simple on/off toggle, maybe key "G". What are the rest of your thoughts on this? Like or Dislike. Of course I not a game programmer so I have no idea how hard this would be. I just want it.
This sounds like a pretty convenient setting. I'd much rather toggle between it using a key rather than zooming all the way out, like how toggling between planets is handled.
I read this threat too. But i think you have to deal with this atm. maybe the zooming will work way different at the end of alpha. maybe theres no "border" or "jump" to celestical view. maybe its one fluid motion and the icons dont disappeare. i think uber has good ideas here and we have to wait until the bring it up. no work will be done here to lock the view to the planet while zooming out if this isnt intent for the future.
