Re: Future Star Wars Games Orign Exlcusive The only reason this is an issue is that people don't have the self-control to resist buying a game they don't wish to support. We live in a time when there's such an enormous glut of games that we can't even play half the games we buy. (Look at your Steam library and tell me you have beaten every one.) There are many great games that have so much more to offer than many of these Star Wars games will when they come out. And even if there is a phenomenally amazing Star Wars game that's only available on Origin, would it be such a loss if you never played it at all? You know it wouldn't. I recall a time when I got a new game once or twice a year, and I enjoyed the heck out of them for years to come. I recently tried restricting myself to buying only games that fulfilled some core principles I laid out: No DRM, Not a console port, Linux version available. Somehow I have managed to stay entertained, and from a larger number of games I thought possible. Yes, I've heard that Bioshock Infinite is the phenomenal pinnacle of games as art. I've heard that the Mass Effect series has a story guaranteed to make strong men shed tears. (For one reason or another.) But somehow I don't really mind missing titles like these, and I suspect I won't have that big of an issue skipping out on the new Star Wars games, no matter how great they are.

Star Wars being exclusive to any publisher is a bad thing. EA has sucked since the late 90's. Origin has sucked since it's inception. This is bad at all levels, not just EA.
Exclusivity actually doesn't mean a thing. If anything it means more games will be made with the licence and that's it.
No, it doesn't mean that any games will be made. It means that IF any games are made, they have to go through EA and meet every wish and whim of EA.
Companies don't sign an exclusivity deal if they aren't going to thoroughly work the franchise. You're exaggerating this whole ordeal.
