For your future Gaming With Developers events, I would highly recommended that you do Blitz instead of crossfire. The problem with Crossfire, is that half the people don't get to talk to the developer, and for me, both matches I was on the other team so it wasn't really that fun, doing Blitz would allow the team members to talk with all the players. Like when they had one for Borderlands, it worked well because it was 4 player co-op so everyone got to be part of the discussion.
Must have just been the people on your team. My team was very chatty... ish. Point is, if they didn't chat in crossfire, they probably won't in Blitz. Blitz match is an endurance test, Crossfire a test of skill. Plus, you could only have 3 fans and 1 dev so you get to play with less people.
Think of it this way, Crossfire = 5 people at a time get to play on the same team as a developer Blitz = 3 people at a time get to play on the same team as a developer
Yea I know, I just think that it would probably be a little more fair to the players so they can chat with them more.
i could suggest you use parties next time. one dev in party chat on headset, with it set to play ingame voices through the speakers. you can always switch chats some of the time. other than that, there is a good point that 11 people can play with a dev, with 5 people being on the same team. on blitz, 3 people can play with the dev, which is 2 less people getting to talk to one, and 8 people never getting to even see one in a game. my game was fine, it was nice to see a community team in a private match partially rage-quit lmao. or was i the only one that happened to?
I was playing with Stackhouse and he spent most of the time sitting in the lobby answering questions and chatting then he did playing in the 6 or 7 rounds I played with him. It was all business when we were in combat.
The bottom line is we can play with more people with Crossfire. We could setup a blitz event but the time frames are harder to judge and you have people sitting around for hours instead of minutes. I can also organize events just for forums people so that way you get more personalized time perhaps with the dev you want to talk to? Let me know your thoughts.
yeah just for "forum people" would be nice, we I guess you could say are the hardcore crowd of MNC, or at least the one that are most immersed in the game
