Further options for planet editing

I was imagining building a system in the editor that was a model of our own, and it occurred to me that with the planet options we have at present Mars would be impossible to make. All it would require however is recolouring of a moon-like world and adding a little atmosphere. Are options like this likely to be included in later builds of the editor?
