eeeeeeeeeeee so excited to start a linux build of PA. You guys are really bustin' *** to get this to us, and man do I appreciate it. Some feedback from my experience: 1. started client, pasted in my password BEFORE typing in my username. then, when I clicked on username field, the client mini-core-dumped according to the logs. Is there someone I can PM the resulting .dmp to? 2. Unit selection by left-click doesn't seem to work reliably. Had to draw boxes around units. 3. Assigning a basic air factory to a group, then hitting that group number, then asking the factory to build something didn't result in the factory actually building anything. 4. Mouse cursor never changed from default kubuntu pointer. 5. Couldn't ever get "assist" action to work - would select it in the toolbar on right, then either left or right-click on what I wanted the selected unit to assist, and at best they'd wander away (at worst they'd do nothing.) system specs: athlon x2 6400+ 4GB DDR2 GF GTX260 w/ 800MB RAM nvidia binary drivers, 304.88-0ubuntu0.0.2 kernel 3.2.0-45-generic keep up the excellent work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Assist kinda works but it depends on the what. So far I've been able to use it with building - A fab vehicle can assist as advanced fab vehicle when constructing. An Adv Fab vehicle can't assist a std fab vehicle - it'll move but won't actually do anything.
