Nobody can touch me! And yet no matter how many times I prove it, Im not on your lovely little collector cups. Im not on the cover of the program. Im barely promoted. I don't get to be in movies. Im certainly not on any crappy show on the USA Network. Im not on the poster of WrestleMania. Im not on the signature thats produced at the start of the show. Im not on Conan OBrian. Im not on Jimmy Fallon. But the fact of the matter is, I should be. This isnt sour grapes. But the fact that Dwayne is in the main event at WrestleMania next year and Im not makes me sick! Oh hey, let me get something straight. Those of you who are cheering me right now, you are just as big a part of me leaving as anything else. Because youre the ones who are sipping on those collector cups right now. Youre the ones that buy thoseprograms that my face isnt on the cover of. And then at five in the morning at the airport, you try to shove it in my face and get an autograph and try to sell it on Ebay because youre too lazy to go get a real job. Im leaving with the WWE Championship on July 17th. And hell, who knows, maybe Ill go defend it in New Japan Pro Wrestling. MaybeIll go back to Ring of Honor. Because he surrounds himself with glad-handed, non-sensical, douchebag (censored) yes men, like John Laurinaitis, whos going to tell him everything he wants to hear, and Id like to think that maybe this company will better after Vince McMahon is dead. But the fact is, its going to be taken over by his idiotic daughter and his doofus son-in-law and therest of his stupid family. Let me tell you a personal story about Vince McMahon alright. CM Punk is the last in a dying breed of what is known as the "consistently entertaining mainstream professional wrestler." Awesome worker, awesome gimmick, best talker going today, and can work as a face or heel (wrestling terms for "good guy" or "bad guy") and work with any size of person on the roster and still look credible. He is everything a promoter could possibly ask for in terms of ability and potential, and the fact that he is not one of the guys the company is built around is mind boggling. I've casually kept up with WWE since high school, and brief drunken nostalgia runs during college, but the past couple of years have been hammering one more nail into the coffin after the other for my interest in WWE. Edge and Punk were the last two people on the roster I genuinely cared about. Everyone else being dead or retired or drugged out and slumming it in TNA. WWE basically has Rock Vs Cena at Wrestlemania next year, and then literally NOTHING interesting outside of the possibility of Undertaker/Cena at Wrestlemania 29/30. /Nerd
