A nice improvement to this game would be to make a friend system.
If anyone has played Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, you'll know that they have quite a good and proberly working friend system, which allows you to group up with some friends before joining a game, and to be able to join together.
Also making sure that you'll get on the same team as the friends you are playing with.

    Please give friend system :D

Steam has that embedded in it.

If you go to your steam friends list and see someone is playing MNC you can join the game they are in. Click the little arrow next to their name and select join game. If you were in a steam chat prior to them joining a game, a little message will pop up asking you if you want to join them.

Hope this helps, and welcome to the forums.

i think he means being able to join a server with a pre-made team; i would support that idea

I don't really see the point. Follow the leader works fairly well as is. If you have more than 4 people it can be difficult to join a server already populated, but with that many you can just join an empty one and it should fill up rather nicely.

Still, it's not like I'm against the idea. I just don't think it's necessary.

    No.

The system flat out wouldn't work for MNC, and there's no reason to completely invalidate the star system (yet) or screw over the ability to disable team selection when making a server.

In your cods and blops you have stupidly high playercounts so two or three friends suddenly joining the same team was OK. The large number of players evened out the gameplay if you were all skilled or all terrible. In MNC you're basically suggesting a group of people are allowed to group together and form pubstomp crews in a manner that is supported directly by the game.

    Again, no.

A sentiment I can get behind... but you're aware this is the situation with or without a 'party' system, yes? Picking blue at the ten second mark has become standard operating procedure for..... certain groups of people :?

Now, having a mechanism where by a crew of friends can party up, and be matched up against another party of friends automatically would be beyond excellent. I don't quite think that's what the OP is talking about, though.

    I support this.

And for those of you with the whole pubstomping thing, go join a server with team selection enabled (roughly 95% of the servers) and when the clock hits 10 seconds click one of the banners.

If you can do that easily, there is no reason it shouldn't be supported for a group of friends to do automatically, if you don't want to play with those people join one with no team preference.
