Free Tournament with Prizes - Who wants one!

Taking a quick poll of who here would like a free tournament with some prizes. Along with that, I would like your feedback on what you feel the size, rules, and settings should be.


The goal of asking is to get some feedback on what you would like to see. As for the prizes, we will discuss that once we have enough interest to make this thing happen.

Winning free stuff and having fun, everyone should say YES!

I am simply waiting for some additional support on this before we move forward. Along with the support, looking for comments on settings that you would like us to use.

Teams are still random. Tournaments don't really work with random teams =/

2v2 tourny

Can you team up with a 2v2 type play?

What is the best way to make this work where we can give some prizes?


We are all about hooking the MNC community up with prizes, just need the best settings to make it work. We have the support of game developers at this point. What settings do we need to use?

5v5 would be best. Anything less takes away from the game too much and 6 is too many for most people to round up. as for settings, it would just be default, maybe with an overtime tweak. I would say overtime off, and if it is a tie, replay the map.

dont do 5v5. its all shammas does and its just dumb. max do 4v4 but 3v3 or 2v2 would be bestest

I see another poll coming soon with the number of players.

So, for settings, default with overtime disabled, is good with the masses?

Actually, we play 6v6, we have little experience with 5v5. 3v3, 2v2 in MNC? Maybe in high-off-your-*** games, but not tournaments.

So this is going to happen. We are going to create the Tournament with the prizes from the Uber Entertainment folks. Completely awesome of them to put some free stuff up on this one.


If you have any last minute requests for settings, things to not allow, or other issues, post them up in the next couple of days. We will be updating everything and will be opening up sign-ups very soon.

Thus far, this will be the settings for this thing:

• 5v5 (1 slot available for referee as needed)
  
  1st Place and 2nd Place team will get prizes (all 5 members of the team)
  
  Overtime - Disabled
  
  Rules will be default for Tournament (we are updating settings now)
  
  Team joining procedures: One person hosts, invites 4 people then the next team captain is invited and they invite their people. (If admin needed, admin will invite players)
  
  Maps Auto Selected by system
  
  Best 2 out of 3

We must get any suggestions checked prior to saying yes. Remember, this is for prizes, so you may not like all the settings.
