Hello PA fans, For as long there is a Teleporter in the game i have been angered by the fact that the satelite can build a gate on the ground. First of all it is not logical as you can not build something from 100k kilometers away. Second it makes invading a planet unnecesary hard as you have to build a gate on the ground without having any groundunits there protecting it in order to get ground units to the planet. As a solution to this and making the game overall more finished and logical, satelites should be able to build gates in orbit. Then conect it to the ground-gate and make it a oneway trip for the units. As there is a unitcannon planed the units will survive the fall from orbit. Aditionally air units should be able to pass gates by landing. Aditionally make it so that gates can be build on water, so that naval units can move between different oceans / ocean-planets. So there should be 3 Types of gates that can all be conected but not all make sence: Land - Land: Land units pass. Air units pass. Land - Orbit: Land units pass oneway and fall from Orbit. Air units pass oneway and fall from Orbit. Land - Sea: Can be connected but it can not be passed by non amphibic units(commander). Sea - Sea: naval units pass. Air units pass. Sea - Orbit: naval units pass oneway and fall from Orbit. Air units pass oneway and fall from Orbit. Orbit - Orbit: Satelites pass without flying the long way, Satelites that can not travel interstellary like Solar can pass as well. I always thought this was going to be implemented anyways as it seemed somehow obvious to me, but with time I was not that sure anymore, I hope you like my idea and share your thoughts! I know they have posted this serveral times. The link you posted had a link posted it in to a previous and so forth. But I must say it is the most annoying aspect of the game trying to fight from planet to planet. If someone is turtled on a moon that cannot be targeted by a smash (physics allow it, so WHY NOT???) Either build 1500 avengers (literally have done this with 80 factories, build 60 nukes to overpower their defenses, or just constantly spam fabbers/anchors. None of which requires ANY skill, it's solely based on how much time you're willing to spend wasting on trying to crack a single planet. As I said, I normally just say the hell with it and rage quit. Maybe asteroid flinging will fix this? There has to be other smashable stuff to allow me to crack the planet of someone spamming umbrellas.. Make it rain hellfire! How about a big cannon that shoots interplanetary missiles, not as big as nukes, but enough to clear a point of entry. ... I don't see the unit cannon fixing this because the units will die to defense when they land, unless you have 80 vanguards with AA capabilities.. This may be where the mega units come into play... You want to turtle??? Well how's an interplanetary missile fired krogoth landing with the force of Russia's nuclear arsenal, carrying 360 degrees of playtime, that duke nukem would envy?? They could even get a countdown timer, since it would be unstoppable doom. 30 seconds until you're allowed to witness your face melt for being a cheeseball camper..... Sommin!
