Firefly/scout "ping"

    Hi guys. I have a small suggestion. At the start of games, it's not uncommon to set fireflies or other scouts on a global patrol. Problem is, at the start of the game, things are already quite hectic. I would like to see a feature whereby the scouts will "ping" on detection of enemy structures/units. This means you can concentrate on building without having to watch the scouts patrol. You already get a notification when a scout is destroyed, but nothing to tell you that it's located the enemy.

    That's actually a pretty nice idea.
    Metabolical uses a PiP and the camera follow the scout, you can try to do it.

    Good idea using PiP, I'll have to try that. Normally the only time I've found the enemy using a Firefly is when it's been destroyed

    there is a mod called tracking pips which does exactly what you are asking for. Believe you press cntrl-t on the unit and the pip opens up on that unit and flashes when the unit is being attacked

    I'd like to see it in the game. Ping on sight of enemy. Anyhow.. :)

    PiP tracking seems to solve this.
