While being Juiced i was curious why does it take considerably longer to Kill a 3.3 Fire Base than a 3.3 RockIt turret, and here i thought a 3.3 RockIt turret was the best, apparently not.

I think you mean 2.3 FB right? All the level 3 does is heal nearby players. No additional armor added.

Then a 2.3, sorry for that mistake

Was the support that built the firebase nearby? Because its harder to destroy if he is near it

Level 3 firebase gives the healing aura and extra health/armor.

Sure about that? Lvl3 upgrades mentions only the heal aura.

Level 3 Firebase does have more health than a level 2.

However, it's a magnitude less than the health of the RockIt turret.
    Something doesn't add up.

Wouldn't that be a crucial part of the lvl3 description that seems to be missing?

You play Support and you never noticed? o_O
Over heal it when it's level 2, then upgrade it to level 3. Almost all the shield goes down.

I also never noticed this. In fact, I NEVER bothered with level 3 FB because I wasn't worried about the health regen. WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME???? *cries*

    I'm callin' shenanigans.

What do you mean it's harder to kill when he's near it? Like over healing or does the bot support aura help it.

is it worth mentioning that a firebase doesnt follow the same rules as to what weapons take it down quicker compared to other turrets?

for example, in terms of DPS to a firebase,
    assault rifle>grenade launcher
    and
    minigun>mortars

without juice, a 3.3 firebase will take you out before you can kill it with a mortar, even when not overhealed. however, you can almost always take out a 3.3 firebase with a support healing it with the minigun.

I think just generally when the support is near his firebase, it will take more shots to take down. And once he leaves his firebase or dies it will take less shots

One of the ProTips does say remove the Support to kill the firebase more easily, not sure the mechanics to why but it says that.

I was also under the impression that level 3 of the firebase skill added no additional armor/health because of the in-game skill description. If this is not the case, I think it is very important to alter the skill menu description to reflect this fact so that players can make informed strategic decisions.

It certainly has more health - it takes longer to overheal a L3 firebase than a L2. (and you get more juice out of it).

It looks like no added armor though, just increased health.

    OT: No ways.

Go play a crossfire map by yourself to test this. Rockit 3.3's are hella health/shielded up as they should be, in fact it appears they even got a little buff in that department to make them more worthwhile.

An upgraded tank for example, can walk right over an unprotected FB3.3. Assaults can gun them down in a matter of seconds. The tank can't even walk near a Rockit3.3 to even try the same thing unless they juice or have some bots distracting it (that'd have to be alot of bots tho to buy you the time). Trying it from long distance with rail gun, mortar, assault rifle and shurikens is also a glaring difference in the powah of the Rockit3 vs a FB...not even in the same park.

My guess is that there are armor.attack types (like the onces in many RTS games)
take for example the assaults AR vs firebases that thing dies sooo fast now use the AR against a rocket turret if I remember correctly it is nowhere near as effective

first off, firebases take generally less damage when the support is within shotgun range of it, so i believe.

secondly, the firebase does have a "different armor value". for instance, turrets take less damage from bullets than pros do, but pros take less damage from explosions. the firebase takes less explosive damage but more bullet damage, as it is a field turret.
