    To all fellow support players:

Where do you like to place your firebase? I find the best place is a high-traffic area with many pro's from both sides coming through frequently. This tends to keep the enemy pro's from being able to focus on it.

But -- half the time my team is retarded and doesn't push the bot lane.

Do you guys have some favorite spots you like to put these? (include map name if being specific).

Generally speaking, I prefer to place it in a way where it can cover me while I do bad things to the enemy base... Like air strike it constantly or shotgun people running off. Also helps to provide my team with a safe haven when they move up.

If I can place it on a highground without getting air striked, I'll use it (like on Steel Peel). If it's going down too fast, I'll choose a location under cover.

above all else, try and put it UNDER something.. after lvl 3 upgrades if you are watching it nothing can kill it solo, most cant kill it 2 people hitting it. but airstrikes one shot it.. so just rember that, and do that to their turrets as well.

I dump it by a bot lane, two if possible.

    Free money is free money.

My favorite support map is steel peel arena. I go to the enemy side and place it on the edge of the catwalk directly in between the two base exits. Anyone who uses the jump platform or goes out the two main exits can be targeted as well as both bot lanes. It is a little exposed but generally it will allow your teammates to push into base so the enemy is very distracted. If you need to defend the same placement on your side of the arena is good too. Once my team is dominating i like to put it behind the moneyball glass inside their base. It usually catches them by surprise, it cant hit both bot lanes and to destroy it you have to get right in its face, making it quite tough. ALSO that is usually a spot wounded pros go for a breather... well not anymore

If i am playing more defensive i will put it under some kind of cover. ALthough i didn't realize that if you just toss it at a wall with a tiny ledge it will stick to that tiny ledge.

If i am aggressive i will put it up high in an odd spot and just heal it as much as possible.

But any support worth their salt can take out the 2nd option but usually i rack in $200+ before that happens.

Let me welcome you to Flak 3, gets the Support away from the firebase and you can easily take it out considering the damage you're doing to it

or mortars if they can get the right angle.. neither of which are guaranteed kills on the firebase, its its at full overheal, you can keep it up through the flak.. and the sniper is already close (if he hit it with flak) and will not be able to spam shots at it without being swarmed by friendlies..

but the fact remains that an airstrike will instantly kill it and being undersomething is good advise.. juiced players will usually kill it, if they dont get grappled as well.
