F'ing Stars, how do they work?

I was at 5 stars

I played a pretty dominating game. Most kills, most bot kills, MVP, something like 17-3 K/D

After the game.. 4 stars! I don't get it. Earlier I had a couple of pretty dismal losses, but kept the 5. Why lose it after an MVP win?

Obviously the system is far from functional, I'm guessing it took a while to register your failures?

And the system is due for some fixes Uber is working on. I disregard stars as I am 2 stars and am above average (for a PC player).

Haven't played in over a month. Just played some games; went from 2 star to 5 after the first one. Played probably 6-8 games and kept the five star even with a loss. I don't really see the big deal with stars.

eh i don't really judge people on their rating since its not really working 100% it does work but i can be on 2 stars when i know im at least a 4 star player....doesn't bother me really

I've played again a bit after a few weeks of break, and after something like 10 wins in a row (being MvP, most bots killed and with scores like 40-4) I kept my 4 stars. What am I supposed to do to get 5? Score 150 kills in a match? :-|

Well I guess it will be fixed soon anyways.

the star thing seems to stabilize a bit after you've played more..?

Does it perhaps depend on the star rating of your opponents? Playing against free-weekenders, I can't seem to get past 3 stars no matter what I do.

Had 4 stars, joined a game late so I only had a few kills/assists/botkills, went down to 3 stars.
Next full game I tore it up and got back to 4 stars o_0

I have to admit, while not a vain man, it's somewhat maddening to get mvps, team leaders, most bots, most money, and still be stuck at 3.

What, am I not taunting enough?

I have not been apart of any game where the rating system seemed to accurately gauged how I'm actually playing. It's like "Yes, yes. You got the flag, most kills and assists, and you did find the princess in the castle. On your first try, also! However, you just feel to me like a average level, so we're going to keep your ranking as such! Stiff Chin, good man."
