Steal this from supcom 2. It made things so much easier to control. What happened was units were auto put into groups. This was a really nifty feature. See pic.
Hi, me too. The tactical signs are too similar to each other, it is hard to differ between a combat bot and a fabrication bot.
In supcom 2, when you selected those 3 tanks, it would of split them off into a group for you. Then when you zoom out, you can click the thing.
Ah so that's how it was supposed to work. Sounds like a useful feature in theory and I guess many people might like it. Personally I didnt like it and disabled it. So I am asking for that option
My only problem with the auto-group feature of SupCom2 was that when you selected a group of units, they would always try to gather to move in formation (forward units would slow down to wait for the units behind them - fast units would match speed with the slowest unit in the group). This was a problem when you just wanted to have units reach the destination as quickly as possible. Apart from that, i really liked it.
As do I. But personally I feel like the auto-grouping mechanic kinda get in the way after a while and end up being a bit of a hindrance to selecting individual units at range like the commander of buildings. But.....what if command groups (Ctrl+1...) could visually display like this? That could be a good set up for this.
I own SupCom 2. But have only played it through once years ago. With the latest patch, and my ceaseless obsession about UI, is it worth playing?
