Feature request for a hotkey fade time slider

Ever since one of the post-orbital changes, the length of time for hotkey buildings became irritatingly short for me. Its a lot better now, but I was wondering, can we just have a slider option for that? I have moments where a momentary hesitation in thought on say, composition of a force end up kicking me out of the hotkey selection and I end up killing a production queue or something.

Is this just a problem for me? If so I'll deal with my failings
