I tried on a Short-Story which is Planetary Annihilation related. Well, at least i tried to settle it into the PA universe. I am not a native english speaker, so please dont mock me for every grammar mistake you find. You may mock me if the Short Story is stupid though', but if you like it, i would like to write more. Anyway, i hope you give it a try :3 Shadows on Arzur Short Story planetary Annihilation by OhhhShiny Vergon enjoyed that day. Not only it was because it was the first time he was able to relax after months of fighting the forces of the Fergo Alliance, but furthermore, he knew it was the last day of his life on Arzur. Arzur was a small planet at the corner of they Eshiasystem, which includes 6 planets. And at least this planet was now under control of his Boss, the United Uringo Federation. They came from the Uringosystem, and it took them a long time to invade the Eshiasystem and finally took their first planet. Their forces were superior, and the weak Fergo Alliance was no enemy. Not on this planet. And now he is able to enjoy the green and blue planet, on a mountain high above all those mechanical units running around on the ground like ants, and climbing into the Airships. The Possibility of creating huge armies with only a very low amount of effort led to the war they fought. But of course, this was not the only reason. Most of the mechanical units were controlled bei A.I.. Well, Vergon heard the new name would be "A.L.". Since artificial intelligence does not sum up the thousands of ways those roboters could analyse a situation and respond, "Artificial life" became more and more common. But now most of their unique indipendence is shut down, since the planet will be evacuated, and the primitive Bots dont need any intelligence for running away. Vergon begun to smile – he always thought that knowing when to run away and when to fight would require more intelligence. The breeth became stronger, and the day was warm and pleasent. Since he was one of the dozen Commanders which led the UUF army on this planet, it was his duty to stay until as many ressources can be brought off the planet as possible. This meant nothing else then his death sentence. They put the thousands of A.L. above his one, the hero of Arzur, and like a captain sitting on his sinking ship, he will wait and die how it is expected from him. Well, at least thats what "they" will think. A blue shimmer began to hover a couple meters in front of him, grew, until humanlike outlines appeared and got filled with color until the 3D hologram of a human looked at him. "Vergon?" Even so it LOOKED like the holo would be able to talk, a complicated system of radiowaves created an instant communicationsystem between him and whoever was behind the holo. Well, science didn't matter right now, so Vergon noddet. "I thought about your offer, and i am willing to accept. You will bring me off this planet in the next hour, and i will give you the information you need and my tactical pieces of advice." The biggest weakness of the Fergo alliance was the missing experience of actual battle. Half of the universe is in war, and thousands of factions are battling for life and death, but somehow the Fergo alliance was left alone. Until the UUF became aware of this situation, of course. It civilizations were able to be left alone for thousands of years, until to be beaten down in a few month by experienced, bloodthirsty factions. Well, and Vergons biggest weakness was his close death. Information are very valuable, and the alliance was somehow able to get information about his situation. So they came to him, the hero of Arzur. They wanted his experience and his information, and he will be a commander for the enemy he fought not a week ago. But in a galaxy where everything shatters, not even morals consisted. Yes, the alliance have been beaten on this planet, their armies are shattered and their commanders flew or died right away. But since the orbital sattelites showed a dozen Asteroids, able to vaporize this planet, closing in, the UUF telling him that his life is less important than the robots they had on this planet, he may give it a shot as well. Being intelligent enough to run today, and fight again tomorrow. Using his own, natural intelligence.
I liked it, cant wait for the official story, its gonna be AWESOME, well, for now, the community can at least make stories and fan fiction. by the way, i didn't understand why the big UFF attacked them, is it like just for fun or they are the robots?
There gonna be a official story? Well, eventually 10 sentences u can read while the game is installing, but i wouldnt expect too much... and yeah, the UFF is one of the bloodthirste factions mentioned in the FF :3
i think garat said that "it all started with the progenitors" on some thread and there are rumors that they payed someone for it so there will be a good story, i don't know how deep and meaningful it will be, but it ends with robot killing each other so i already like it :lol:
