I had nothing better to do so I thought: Why not learn Blender? Blender is a free 3D modeling tool and very powerful. It's the perfect choice if you want to work with 3D but you don't want to pay a couple of hundred bucks for 3D Studio and the like. Anyway: What do you think? Constructive criticism is welcome. If you feel like giving Blender a chance yourself, here is a great collection of tutorials: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro
Woah! No wonder why Juice makes everyone go crazy look what color it is! lol Looks pretty awesome though. Nice job.
Thanks! I'm having so much fun with Blender, I'll try something new once I'm done with the render for work.
I know you're supposed to apply aptilube directly to your skills, but where do pros keep their skills? Maybe I don't want to know.
We do not speak... oh well... One Spnky to go, fixed some things and improved the meshes as well. And I hate UV mapping...
I think the can needs to be a bit shiny, Soda cans in real life are quite shiny. But I don't know if thats too advanced for you yet, So only if you can.
Lol, you are right! I haven't seen a soda can in real life so long I actually forgot how they look. They were basically outlawed years ago here.
Environmentalist heaven, aka Germany. It takes huge amounts of energy and water to make the cans so they made a law: With each can you have to pay like $0.70 collateral. If you bring the can back to the store you get the $0.70 back. Since nobody wanted to hassle with it and soda cans almost died out here. It's all in plastic bottles and Tetrapacks now. For comparison, for a beer bottle it's only like $0.08.
There's a "deposit" on cans in several U.S. states too, like California. It sure isn't seventy cents a can though.
Oh, it's deposit. Had no idea what you call it in the US. I don't think plastic bottles are much better, especially not when it comes to beer. You can't enjoy beer out of a plastic bottle...
70 cents! wow! at least you guys get the full deposit back if you do buy it haha.... here in Canada we pay 10 cents deposit and get 5 back..... beer and liquor bottles get the full 10 cents back.... great artwork BTW!
You should look in to adding HDRI skyboxes to your renders. It will give your reflective surfaces something to actually reflect.
Thanks for all the feedback guys, I'm looking into the suggested improvements but it will have to wait till the weekend I think.
Thanks Shadow! Unfortunately I just had to move to Win 7 and I'm still in the process of setting everything up. Hopefully I'll have some time to work on new stuff soon. Maybe a Big Bad Bot with MNC stuff - maybe the Spnky Bot?
