Playing on scale 4 moon style map with no interplanetary. I say it was epic bc it was non stop fighting back and forth for territory. My base ended up in the middle of the other two 3 player teams lol while the two other players on my team were to far from me to help. I had to Fight one team from the east, another from South and South West. I was fending everyone off until I get nuked. I re build and somehow am still in the game while my other two players are dead even tho they spawned next to each other lol. After this game I must say pa could eclipse both ta and supcom if the optimizations kill the horrible lag. The lag was so bad it was like watching a slide show, basically ruined the end of this game. Also I must stand by my earlier posts that playing without orbital is much more fun atm.
I think that is the general consensus at the moment, until more features are implemented (like the unit cannon, etc.). Personally, I find it an interesting divergence from traditional RTS gameplay, but I haven't played enough to get annoyed with it yet
Good I was hoping everyone felt orbital is really bad lol I see many games with multiple planets and wonder if people realize how orbital is just not fun atm. I hope the orbital stuff we see is only 10% and alot is still missing. I also think it could be awesome but I'm enjoying the game more without orbital in its current state. At first I didn't enjoy the round planet either but now that I've gotten used to it, it's pretty awesome. Uber is still a long way with optimization, not sure how they are going to pull off wars going on several planets with hundreds of units if they can't yet do it on one..
The most recent livestream had information on their thoughts around orbital. Short version: it's going to change a lot.
I watched the stream and I'm glad it's going to change alot. I realize it's in beta but it would be great to hear there total plan for orbital & all the ways it's going to change
you GOTTA turn graphic settings down this isn't minecraft, this is much more graphically demanding than Crysis
Well I think it's more that the game is no where near optimized yet..it was lagging bad for everyone in the game. But there were likely 1000 units lol I didn't have a problem running crisis at all..btw what settings do you run to get zero lag I'm big games?
