i have ran into this many times but keep forgetting to put it on here. basically all you have to do to make it work is to block its way out with a mountain or cliff and make sure to never give it a move command. and suddenly you have a fabricator that can build anywhere. works best with bigger fabs.
ANOTHER cool one involving ramps that I saw yesterday: 2 t1 tank factories back to back (ramp to ramp) producing tanks at an offset pace. for this example itll be factory ABC. Factory As tank finishes last, B second to last, and C finishes first (they are labeled alphabetically left to right before you ask). Factory Cs tank will finish and if it is directed to go to the other side of factory A it will hit factory s in progress tank and make it auto complete no matter what stage it is at in production. I know its not THAT big of a deal and is kind of hard to replicate but its something
