Settings Fabs on an area patrol (selecting a fabricator, selecting patrol command, and drag-clciking) will send them off repairing, helping to build, or even assisting factories. If they are da,aged they will even rapier each other (but a fab or commander can't repair itself. Any fab can use this, but air is probably best for this since it isn't hindered by terrain variations.

That is a little bit tricky. There is an "area repair" command, but currently it stops after everything is fixed and does not fix further damage in the area. I hope they will fix that.
You can have just a few of those guys, there is no need for infinite build.

think big: imhaing 3 bases 1 attack going 1 1 spy going 1 expansion going - now u want me to count through those 100 or 1k planes if there are still enough constr. planes ? and still they start to aid anti-nuke construction instead of repairing while under attack...

They tend to get stuck on factories. If the factory making them has the patrol command, they get stuck on it.

I like the idea of this. Would be useless for basic units, but helpful for the Advanced aircraft.

    Why not right?

How about a repair patrol command?

As in, take the already existing repair command, & add the looping script present in patrol, & have it as it's own command under patrol
