I play with a (Wacom) graphics tablet which makes zooming a pain (due to the scroll wheel be is on the side of the device, I never actually use it in any applications/games). I'm currently having to use the (CTRL+)WASD keys but it would be much nicer if you/Uber could implement a key+middle-mouse and drag to zoom (move up to zoom in & down to zoom out) as is found in many graphics applications. This would make a huge difference. PS. I assume this could eventually be done via a mod, but it would likely not function well with the existing pan function. Hence the request to add it directly to the game.
Many years of mouse use have produced an RSI and I prefer using a graphics tablet (even without the requested feature). I'd also expect drag zoom to be of use to some mouse users.
