Don't you just hate when some tank almost charges out of the same spawn exit you are going out of only to stop, block the exit and remember he/she needs to upgrade their stickers. Then you go on to get killed by some guy that lost his stapler.

I hate being product grenaded by my own team.

Then you rage quit because you see your team is all snipers except you as the gunner, so you are the only viable target.

What's worse is at the start of Steel Peel, standing on the jump pad to launch across to the upper ring, just as you press down and enable it for $50 someone else jumps on and you bounce off them and go flying down to gap next to the bot spawn and ring out.

    Is that possible?

You can even do it to yourself. But yes, certain attacks like scrapnal, product grenades, air strikes, and setting us up the bomb can hurt you and your own team.

I didn't think it was. But I knew you could "STICKER" yourself, so it didn't completely shock me when tanks on my team managed to be the ones to hit me with a product grenade and blind me.

Hold on a sec. I know for a fact that friendly bombs, flak, and air strikes don't hurt you. And by friendly I mean that of your team members. Yes you can hurt yourself with all of the above, but not your team members.

    Maybe it was a glitch?

I know friendly flak hurts team members. I made the mistake of trying to run through one. Actually now that I think about it air strikes, flak, and bombs are the same color for both teams so maybe they do damage friendlies.

All this talk of friendly fire seems grossly incorrect.

I thought the only thing capable of harming friendlies was the tank/assault/assassin death + charge/lunge glitch.

Well, some ill-informed lady did that too me, but I know better than to call any woman wide load.

Friendly flak and bombs look the same, but not air strikes. The air strike will be red or blue depending on the team. I know they don't hurt because when a team member tosses one, I'll commonly run straight through it to get at the fleeing enemies. And I've done the same thing with friendly bombs and flak. Also, if I see people from opposing teams in close quarters combat, I'll toss a flak in since I know it can only hurt the enemies. I've killed plenty of assassins in the middle of a grapple animation with my teammate like this, and I've never once killed a team member.

Think of this. In any game where you can kill team mates you'll have griefers that will team kill for a laugh. Have you ever come up against this in MNC? You can't hurt team mates, and it should be easy enough to test this to know for certain.

    This post is the thread.

Gunners seem to do it more, from my experience but that may be because more random people pick gunner than tank. I dont know why people dont buy their skills right away either.

Your own airstrike can hurt you, but not your teammates. That's weird, but it's the case. I've been at ground zero when many an ally's air strike was targeting a Jakbot. They don't hurt.

I thought L3 Flak hurt allies as well. I wouldn't swear to it, though.

You know posting this, could you imagine how bad the griefing would be if you could hurt your teammates with those. Makes my stomach churn.

Oh yea that's right. I forgot about the colored air strikes. As for the damage I took from a friendly flak it was barley any I just noticed it was making me like flinch. Like Amaranth said maybe it's the lvl3 flak.

I know what you mean. On the other hand, sometimes I wish I could do it to my teammates.

Last night I kept getting "stickered" by two gung-ho tanks, pinned by an assault and a support who didn't want to let me escape enemies, and perpetually annoyed by a support who put his firebase right outside the front entrance of the spawn and hid inside. I do the "in front of the spawn" thing, but I don't duck in and out and block things up.

I want to L3 Airstrike all of the above. Or do the Assassin's Bitch Slap. Even if it doesn't hurt them....

I've thrown level 3 flaks and product grenaded without harming teammates, and I'd be surprised if friendly fire is on for the other things mentioned. It's way too open to griefing.

Maybe there are occasional bugs, but I'm willing to bet 99% of the time all the weapons mentioned hurt the enemy or yourself, but not your teammates.
