Don't underestimate my Gunner. FOR POST PATCH USE

    I've read over OfficerFuttBuck's gunner guide, and damn, we sure do play exactly the same.



    How i produce my happiness :D


    The gunner is a key role in Pro-Control. He has THE fastest Automatic bullet shooting gun, with a very useful Mortar used for destroying turrets, and downing the Moneyball faster. He has some useful skills, but is not the best. He is honestly cheap, but is very affective at Pro Control.

    Endorsements
    I use a standard Gunner. Made for killin, but can also take a beating.
    My endorsements are
    Gold ARMOR - Gold Armor'd Gunners beat Gold Rate of Fire Gunners. Nuff said.
    Silver Rate of Fire - Barely any difference in how fast your Mini's shoot with gold or silver.
    Accuracy [or] Health Regen - Accuracy is good, but if you want to get back into fighting faster, Health Regen is awesome.

    I also have a set up for another gunner used mainly for Tanks, Assassins, snipers and the not so good Assault. And on maps where when you can trap an enemy into a corner for an easy kill.
    It goes a little something like this.
    Gold Critical's - Gold Crits are very very useful on classes that can't put up a fight back. A good gunner, with a set up like Armor, Silver RoF, andBronze Accuracy will win in a 1 v.s 1 fight.
    So with this Gold Crits keep your killing focused on weaker enemies.
    Silver Rate of Fire - Having your Rate of Fire at Silver will give you the most benefit over any other endorsement.
    Bronze Accuracy, Armor, or Health Regen - Accuracy is going to be not as useful post-patch so there is Armor to give you the slightest health boost (but won't do much) so i am running on this class Health Regeneration as my bronze
    now Your Guns
    Mini Gun
    ...Is very useful at killing enemy pros. The bullets slow enemies down, thus letting you get more damage done. The mini gun is not to keen on bot control, or eliminating turrets, so stick with people. You are going to want to get as close to your enemy as you can before firing so you can get the most damage in. But if this enemy is either good at running, or has a corner they can get to before they die, they will do so. Make sure you shoot at the right time so they will not get away before you kill them.

    Mortar
    Not so much a mortar, but meh. It is your main turret killer. This beauty can kill a level 1 rockit turret in 2 shots. It isn't to well with bots or enemy pro's unless your juiced. But this thing sure can do damage on the moneyball when you're juiced. Just make sure when shooting at the ball that you are far enough away so that all 3 Mortar's hit the ball.

    Upgrades
    Upgrade your Passive to level 3 as soon as possible.
    I don't usually upgrade anything else unless I have people coming too close, then i buy Slam or Grappel accordingly.

    Starting Off
    If playing seriously, take out the Rockit's as fast as possible. Killing enemies that try and stop you from that. Juice is not earn able, well at least it's not as simple as other classes. So you are going to buy and chain juice rushes a lot.

    Pro Control
    Your main focus when killing enemies is to get the first shot off. It may sound cheap but if you get the first 3 bullets on an enemy, you will most likely get the kill.
    Thing is, if your playing against a team that knows how to keep their pants on, you will want to get higher ground on the map. Some maps have easier to reach high ground. Others not, Grenade 3 is the hardest map for getting upper advantage, unless enemies are pushing bots down low. LazeRazer is a great map for a getting high ground. It is also great for a pro control focused Gunner because you have the ability to get high ground on enemies. Meaning yes, more kills.

    Thats all I feel is needed in here.

    Funny. I HATE using gunner on LazerRazor. But I love it on grenADE iii and ammo mule.

    Also, I can't believe I've never tried juiced mortars against the money ball >.<

    Edit: Also, you should really emphasize how much your team will lack if your team has a gunner instead of a competent bot killer.

    he just admitted it to me about an hour ago, and i have been running gold crit/silver RoF for almost a month now.

    I started running crit a lot more when we found out it also increased the multiplier.

    I'm still confident accuracy build will be better unless you're in incredibly close range.

    Accuracy only makes more bullets hit in one spot. RoF shoots much more bullets faster in just a bigger range.

    Swap accuracy and armor on our build and you have the Deadeye build. Better for 1 v 1s, worse for survivingitol.

    Also minigun has lost its prowess at range and I find it much more effective to use the mortar now.

    Good stuff. I have been using the gold armor, silver RoF, bronze accuracy for a while and it's excellent, but I recently started using gold RoF, silver accuracy, and bronze clip size. The reason I like this build is I use the mortar a lot to shell certain areas so my team can establish or maintain map control. The other team doesn't like to run into areas where lots of explosions are happening, which makes it easier to repel a push or for supports on my team to thrown down a forward firebase.

    scented, you posted something in my thread about how my gunners wrong...

    ... well at least i have higher accuracy. gold armor gunners kill gold rate of fires, but gold accuracy kills gold armors from med+ range, as 2x more bullets will actually land.

    oooooo..... i sense a rivalry between us recently. ;)

    hey, there are the armorers who play like zangief (just try to outlast the enemy), there are the firepowerers who like to play like akuma (less health but more damage output), and then there are the skill shennanigan pullers who play like rose and vega (hit and runs, and turtling, like me :) )

    we all kick ***, hu? it all works.

    lets just put it this way. the endorsements only work when you apply the skill to use them and play the class well. we all use our own endorsements, and all play equally bad compared to Im Hudson or Deadeye :lol: :roll:

    that makes perfect sense, i didn't even think about classes like that, i guess that would put me in the akuma mindset... does that make the assassin gen? skilled players are real good but noobs are better off with someone easier,
    and the sniper must be ken cause they spam from the other side of the map

    if you try using long range on me, i will use my new class *Props to Tom* I will use my Armor, Criticals, and Accuracy and deploy on you allllllllllll day.

    i can say i can generally outgun most gunners* as a deployed spun up gunner** with this build, and im sure midget can back me up on this.

    I have tried this class you so speak of Tom and S&M... and holy crap! :shock:
