Alright basically i just joined this site.. and i was looking through the wish list and i could not AGREE MORE with the idea of the mercenary playlist. For those of you who don't know what this is, it is a special type of 'server' if u will, that DOES NOT allow party play. its completely random teams. Heres my outlook on this matter. 1. I really don't play video games to make friends, i have real life for that. Therefore i don't see the point of finding the best 5 players i can find to dominate beginners and decent ppl. 2. For everyone who does play with 5 99's and u either a. End the game in 2 minutes or less , or b. Make it so the game always goes into overtime, so u and your boyfriends have your blessed 30-2 kill death records... is this actually fun for you? honestly I've been on an unstoppable team before... and it gets sOOooOOoO BORrrINgGGG that i normally end up leaving a WINNING team after a couple of games. (you know, because the teams stop being random after a certain amount of time and you start getting the same ppl on your team.) 3. For all of you hardcore leaderboard mfers, if you don't like the idea of ..OMG DARE I SAY IT... DUN DUN DUN... FAIR PLAY!... then dont play at the mercenary side. Sorry if we're taking away some of the level 10's you beat on :[ 4. I think this would also help beginners become better. -- You're level 1, you join a normal game... dead. 1..2..3..4..5..6..7! yay back to respawn .. 'walk outside' .. dead. lol.. leave. BUuut you can begin your conquest on mercenary with random ppl and random lvls everywhere.. get better.. learn the game.. meet some ppl.. and WAH-LAH~ now u can join the normal party game with your newly established team and try your luck! .. i hAve more things to say but i don't want to make this so long to where ppl won't read it lol. Am i being a little biased towards people who play in parties? perhaps a little bit... but i think we can all relate... beginning a game and getting destroyed by a party full of pros before even learning the buttons.. ALL I'M SAYING IS...... MAKE 1 THING WHERE PPL CAN PARTY IF THEY WANT.. AND 1 WITH RANDOM TEAMS!! thanks for listening ;]
I like the idea of a "Mercenary playlistttt". I usually play by myself or one other friend, because it really isn't fun to just beat the living **** out of the other team in two minutes.
There is a mercenary playlist... it's called pre-patch lobbies. But seriously, my opinion on different playlists is with smaller amounts of people playing a game, the more modes there are, the less likely you can find a good room. With a game like COD you can have 18 different game types because there's 18 billion people playing it (my numbers could be off). This being a new property arcade game, all be it a kick-*** game, there's significantly less people. Take Transformers War for Cybertron for instance, there's 4 game modes. Now at any given point like 1000 people play, pretty low. Most in TDM, maybe 300 in Conquest, 40 in Power Struggle, and maybe 4 in the last CTF style mode. Basically I never play TDM because I prefer an objective rather than, shoot him. he bad. So what I'm left with is playing the same people in power struggle over and over or mostly the same people in conquest. I cant even get a game going in CTF because everyone's playing other modes. Long story short, the more modes there are, the less people there are to play each mode. (Said it before but, thank you Uber for not putting in TDM) What I wouldn't mind is a Cod waw style nubby room... nobody higher than level 10. That would eliminate the I'm new to the game argument while not really taking away from the main population of crossfire.
I'd absolutely get behind a mercenary mode, provided the teams started to be sufficiently randomized/balanced.
I already have this problem with Blitz. I try to play the Scramble Blitz, and I either get the same 2-3 people every time, or no one at all. I think at any given time there are like... 0-3 people playing the Scramble
I completely agree. I can't stay in a party of more then two good people either. I like a little substance to my matches. I feel pretty shameful sitting on some high-ranked leaderboard guy's host all night racking up unbalanced wins. Mercenary playlist all the way! Because, what's the point of playing if you're avoiding a challenge? Oh, and don't worry about the leaderboards. Nobody takes them seriously. "Oh man, you're so high on the leaderboards! How'd you get there?" "Well, if you get three of your buddies and grab host, you can sit there all night." "Is that all?" "No. Only about 25% of the MNC players know how to play. So the odds of getting against three opposing good players is slim. On top of that, most good players will avoid a game that pits them against three 99's without any help. Even if you do happen to get a group of good players, we still have host advantage on our side. On top of all that, THIS is exactly what most other groups do. So statisticly, the odds of getting a challenge is slim to none." "That is amazing! Can you still brag about it?" "Of course! What are they gonna do about it?"
not really..i was just replying to what he was saying about people that are high on the leaderboards.
sorry if i have friends who just so happen to be high levels, or plain good and i think its funny how you try to blame the people on the leaderboards for being up there only because the group together n play noobs. yes like its their fault that they joined that server and that those people were in it, what the hell are they supposed to do, not play? and excuse me if i want to play with my friends, its not like thats the reason why xbox live even exists. but heres a few solutions: get friends get better quit but sure make a mercenary mode, infact i support that i mean why not. if you cant take the heat get out the kitchen
you never make any sense brah. because i'm high on the leaderboards doesn't mean we don't need playlists it means i have too much free time. most players want a fair balanced game instead of getting matched up against ppl like me with other 99s who remain in the game and tag along
Neat idea, at the very least it allows people who don't want to get ROFLSTOMP'd every game by a premade a chance, I would probably give it a shot. However, I must now ball slap you for making a COD reference.
