Of course it helps for the Shuriken, and of course your first strike out of stealth is always a critical, regardless of what is equipped (I've noticed that a whole stream of Shurikens can become criticals actually, out of stealth).

However, does the Crit Shot endorsement (of any level) benefit your actual sword swings?

I'm debating on throwing it in slot 2 or 3 along with RoF, Armor as my Gold of course.

Crit effects the sword/dagger. Or so I've been told. I'm yet to find out how to see when it crits though. :)

Bleh that's what I was afraid of, hah, the frequency.

I suppose I'll roll with what I have been the past few days

    Gold: Armor
    Silver: Speed
    Bronze: RoF

Both of the assassin's weapons are bladed weapons.

If it does give crit then it definitely doesn't have the purple glow associated with it.

there has been 3 threads asking this... scathis replied to the first saying yes crits affect sword/dagger, but NOT the grapple.

    This.

The crit endorsement works when slashing with the dagger/sword, but not when Grappling. As far as I know there isn't any effect when hitting with crits with the weapons, so it's impossible to tell the frequency.

Actually when you Juice you have a 100% chance to score a critical hit, as such you will note a purple tracer whenever you attack while Juiced. This purple effect is displayed when a critical hit occurs, even when not Juiced. The result is that you can view the frequency of critical hits.

With the assassin's bladed weapons? Because I just tested it with both the dagger and the katana, and the color behind the weapons was red the entire time, even when juiced.

I just tested every possible combination of moves vs a split-screen assault and the first attack out of Level 3 stealth or any stealth is not a crit unless you are using the shuriken launcher.

pretty sure crit strikes for katana / kuni comes out white when you hit and only then. Another easy way to tell watch your targets health drop a ton.
