Just a quick question... do the gunner rounds from the minigun apply some sort of slow to the players they hit? Because I have noticed that if I am being shot by a minigun my character progressively moves slower and slower.
Yeah, when a gunner deploys, his attack will get a slowdown effect. One thing to note is that the slowdown effect does not have a falloff, so it's not affected by distance.
problem with it is that there is no falloff on the slow. A gunner can hit you from across the map and you are instantly SLOW
Yea, the slowdown effect only applies when a Gunner deploys and I believe the effect starts the moment the Deploy animation begins
Yep. The deploy is quite ridiculous because it's active as soon as you mash it not when the animation finishes.
They can't move and have a giant hitbox for a good 8 or so seconds if they want to deploy and undeploy just to slow you which is a stupid thing for a gunner to do.
Really? Never knew that. No sarcasm at all either. I don't deploy as much as I used to, but I do remember it was helluva fun deploying and hearing this obvious cloaking sound behind me - just put on the jetpack and a couple of seconds afterwards 'Kill - $25' appears on the screen. Deploying's hardly OP. You become a sitting fat duck for long range attacks and anything behind you (except grapples). If you happen to be in mid range of a readily deployed gunner, then well, you got the really bad end of the stick.
