With the recent addition of the death laser I thought of an idea that I think could be fun. What if every type of planet had a specific gameplay mechanism that would add to the strategy of the overall game? This would give players reason's for trying to hold specific planets. Currently we have: Metal Planets: Can build death laser Gas Giants: Can build special energy building What if you could build a giant hydro station that would generate a large amount of energy on water planets if the lake was big enough? Maybe you could have a lava shooting turrent only buildable on lava planets that would pull from the lava underneath the surface and provide better ground cover, causing enemies trying to take you over having to use orbital or air units? Can anyone think of other unique buildings that could only be built on specific planets? Anyone think this is a cool idea?
Yeah i think that all planets having some sort of unique mechanic, be it resources, offensive, defensive,
