i'm not sure if my opponent was going for this, but in a few games the number of units the enemy generated was so massive that the moment they all ran into my view the program crashed and burned so hard it exited right then and there.

it seems that another way to take out an enemy is to drown their computer with units.

i know my computer can take a massive number of units, but i think problems happen when that same massive army suddenly appears out of nowhere adding to the things to render faster then they can be rendered.

i'm fairly certain this wont be a problem later and i love the current rendering system and how it makes it actually playable on most computer. otherwise its a pretty hilarious glitch.

I've just run into optimization issues, I can handle building my own bases and armies but if I see my enemies my computer runs so choppy and slow haha till I crash

I've never had these issues. I have noticed some slow downs, but never a crash. I have seen a few pauses and then it recovers. My guess would be video card / system memory limitation problems with your systems.

My computer gets heavy FPS lag when scouting enemy bases, yeah.

I think the reason is because the GPU suddenly has to process double the amount of strategic icons/units it had to before, and has to load them all into video memory. I have no idea how graphics processing works, but that's my layman's understanding of it.

I quite sure given that its alpha the amount of ram used is overwhelmingly big hehe. I'm only using a 4 gig of ram pc a my sisters so I can't confirm it but I will soon

My i7 quad-core is nicely used by PA... I can guess that certain dual-cores might have big problems though... but well, they will optimize a lot more over time. :)

I have an 8Gb 4 core machine and massed units dont respond properly once you have a couple of hundred. You have to double click a type to get them to move and then they come from all over the planet as with previous builds. Bandboxing doesnt work. It selects but the units wont do what you tell them.
