New Scout is also sort of a bad idea. Heavy may not be a competitive class, but it's good in random public games and will get you accustomed to the game quickly.

Heavy is only useful if you defend the last point or try to hold a position. Otherwise he's not used. If you're new and you want to play a good class go Soldier. If you know how to rocket-jump and how to airshot you're set. Though playing in pubs is stupid since everybody is a retard so you should get a friend that plays medic.
Scoot: Jump like rabbit on crack, get in close, hurt people, gtfo. Get on control point to act like your helping every now and when. Avoid sentries and soldiers head on. Solderp: Lrn2 airshot, take out sentries from range, aim at feet, use splash damage, lrn2 rocketjump. W+M1: (W+M1)+(W+M2 when Solderp or Stickyspam comes rushing at you)+FlaregunAxtinguish combo= victory. Also use degreaser moar. MAYDICK: Butt-buddy FattyMcFatFat, Stickyman, and Solderp. Uber to survive or kill all the things. Kritz only if you have other Uber medics. No reason to use anything other than lolvampiregunlol and INFINITEUBERSAW. Saxton Hale's child: Sit back and aim at head.
