Y'all have made it quite impractical to hack an enemy turret.

If a tank and I run up to an enemy rockit we can take it down in about two seconds, and we're each guaranteed $25.

Now, as a support. If I blow my juice, have a tank protecting me, and bring another support along to heal me just in case .. I get absolutely nothing. (other than satisfaction, of course.)

I get zero money for the hack, I've wasted my juice, I'll get no money for the kills that the turret gets, and unless we're stomping the other team's face in .. I can't protect it for too long because it will almost always go for enemy bots rather than pros. (Which I also get no reward for)

Why do you hate the support? :[

P.S. - If this has already been addressed please forgive my ignorance.

I'm curious a well, as I have only successfully hacked 3-4 turrents since the patch. Only once has it ever been a Rockit - the rest, Shaveices.

The post-patch hack time is ridiculous. If you're going to sit there, completely vulnerable for a good 7 seconds, unable to maneuver or dodge out of harm's way, it'd only seem fair that we receive SOME sort of compensation.

I did it last night just for shits 'n giggles. Hacking an enemy turret is in no way efficient or effective.

Since the patch I have seen maybe 2 hacked turrets and hacked one myself. And I play daily. They nerfed it ridiculously. Move it to hack 3 instead of Hack 2? Fine, but the time to hack it is impossibly long. You could only hack it if you're juiced, and that's a huge waste of juice. Especially with the upcoming juice nerf for the heal gun. Any turret that is worth hacking is going to destroy the bots you escorted in and kill you before you finish hacking it, if you have no juice. Hacking enemy turrets is impractical. The reward does not outweigh the risk. :x

I try to hack enemy turret all the time, and I have to agree, the hack time is just too long. I have no problem using juice to hack, I love watching the enemy scramble and I loooooooove hacking shaves. But even if I juice immediately next to the turret I cannot complete an entire hack while juiced, and will likely die if it is anything other than a shave.

I'm glad that it's only on hack 3 but please shorten the enemy hack time a little, please?

Also I don't think hacked enemy turrets will ever target pros, right? It would be impossible to un-hack a LB or Rokkit if they shot at ya.

Hacking an enemy turret is the eqivelant of mele killing a pro. Should only be done for humiliation purposes.

IIRC they changed it from Level 2 to level 3 because people were complaining of Supports rushing their base and hacking their turrets at the beginning of matches. Changing to level 3 alone fixes the problem. But making the hack longer made it unusable.

Yeah, this. Reduce hack time for enemy turrents and it'll be useful. It's generally more productive to just jump off the edge of the arena of your own volition than to even try to hack an enemy turrents as things are now :(

Yeah, at least that way, it saves you the time from trying and failing to hack the turret.

    Greggggggggggy,

I tell you what. The next time I play with you, I'll let you hack a level 1 lazer blazer in my base, and I'll even do my best to keep it alive.

    Hilarious!
Well I guess it does still work if you bring a s**t ton of bots with you, or if you do it while Jackbot is around so maybe it should just stay something that's just tough to pull off. I do still get 'em off now and again...

no its not practical, it could use some kind of reward. you could just recognize that its insulting to the enemy instead of strategical to you tho.

but i must point out, its not a nerf to the heal gun thats coming out. its a fix to a known glitch (technically instant continuous autoheal affects all classes because a support can follow a juiced tank and keep him invincible, its just that a support carries his own infinite health while other classes must have a friend follow)

    ..?

Could you try explaining that in different words? Because from what I'm seeing, the only way to gain juice in any quick manner is to heal things. All they'd need to do is make it so you can't keep gaining infinite juice from certain things.

The support is going to be slaughtered after this DLC.

oh, i thought you were talking about infinite health from hurtgunning while juiced...

and the juice gain rate nerf for the heal gun is equivalent to the snipers juice gain rate nerf. they both got nerfed cuz it was impossible to stop them quickly getting free juice from their own base. they can still get it, they just took out the quick part. sniper might take a whole minute to juice now, omgosh what will snipers do with themselves?

I have a question, because I haven't even tried to hack a enemy turret since the patch, and rarely did before the patch.

Is hack time variable depending on the level of the turret?

This has probably been suggested many times before, but it would seem to be a somewhat elegant solution to making it useful without overpowering it. If it already is this way, my apologies.

Nope. The same amount of time for everything, just like your own turrets.
