Is it possible to go back to a non-steam account for Planetary Annihilation? I got a steam key and thought I would just get a steam key, not that my account wouldn't work on the launcher any more, or do I need to buy another alpha account to get it to work without steam again?
I had the same initial issue, all you need to do is play one game via Steam. Then you'll be able to login using the PA Launcher again.
Can we get official confirmation that this is how it should function? I'm hesitant to activate my key with steam because I want to be able to use the launcher too just in case.

As long as you have logged into the game at least once with Steam (you don't even need to play, you just need to actually finish the linking process - if you took your key to steam and never link it, how would we possibly know that it was the same account?), you'll be fine. If for some reason it doesn't work the way we tested it, please let us know in the alpha forums. It's a bug. It's not intended behavior.
