It's not that the colours themselves can be confused when next to one another, but when teams are communicating about other teams I've seen in streams that dark blue is often called purple which of course leads to enormous confusion.
Maybe a numbering system could assist here.. Label all the players with a number as well as color, maybe even have the number in the color box...
Agreed easier just to use a different hue of blue.. But in my defense I'm partially color blind so i have been thinking about doing this as a mod for a while anyway.. I'm at the point now where i'm working out how to put the same label over the strategic icon's so i can see who is who.
Yupp. And Pink looks like Read. When pink and read or blue and purple are playing each other it's very difficult to tell who's who.
When I watched one of the internal playtest videos recently I couldn't tell whether the AI (purple) or one of the humans (dark blue) was attacking because the colours looked so similar. This might be a Twitch quality thing, but surely this can be tweaked?
You know. It's halfway between red and yellow with a dash of purple, a smudge of grey, and a bit of green. Kinda hard to describe.
