Custom game results in black screen with no graphics.

    Steps:
    - Mac Install (Beta v.54412)
    - Mavericks OS X Build 9
    - Custom Game
    - Free For All (2 armies) on Beta System
    - Publish Game
    - Join Game
    - Game shows loading screen
    - Then black screen (persists)

I keep getting the game hanging on the Starting Game screen. The little loading icon keeps rotating, but nothing much else happens and the computer sounds/acts like it's trying to pull as much processing power towards the game getting it to work.

Haven't gotten a game to start yet.

Can you post your mac model and OS X version, please. Such reports without hardware/software details are pointless.

I managed to play one skirmish against an AI, and then, starting the second one got me a black screen.

The music kept playing on the background, and for a while I had the "Loading game..." visible.
After a while the screen went black but the music kept on playing. I waited for a total of maybe 15mins, after which I started hitting esc, ctrl-alt-del, ctrl-shift-esc, nothing worked, I had to push the reset button...

Oh and the music kept on playing on the background right until I reset my machine.

    First you drivers is outdated:
    Code:
Card name: AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series
    Driver Date/Size: 12/19/2012 23:08:04, 1151488 bytes
    Download and install new one:
    http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonaiw_win8-64.aspx

Other thing is: system shouldn't freeze just because of game, so probably you want install CPU-Z:
    http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
And then check what memory usage is when freeze happen.

My apologies, never been part of a beta before. I don't know all the procedures.

I did get it to load eventually, I turned down some settings and that seemed to help.

I'm not sure what year it is (2009? When they first came out with the 27" screens) but it's an 27" iMac i7 Quad Core with 8gb ram. It's the model that had the 512mb graphics cards in it (I think ATI Radeon HD 4850). Latest version of iOS 10.8.5.

So now the main problem is the texture issue that has come up several times in these forums, with the textures just being black and making it unplayable.
