So I have the good fortune to have a connection and machine that will support a dedicated. Right now, I'm running the standard settings, much as I suspect everyone else is.

The question I offer up to you, my excellent fellow players, is this:

What would YOU want to see on a Custom server? For those who don't know, the panel offers up the following choices:

    Max Game Length
    Max Overtime Length
    Hazards On/off (Annihilator, Ejectors)
    Buy Bots (Spawns)
    Buy Juice
Max-number-of-a-class (could, in theory, eliminate a class altogether or force everyone to the same class)
Specific maps only (could remove one or only run one)
...and in theory, though I don't know how yet, you can set it to randomize everyone's class on entry.

What would YOU like to see? Feedback solicited!

I mentioned it elsewhere, but I think it could be cool:

JUICE MULTIPLIER! (0x to 5x or so in .5 increments)

Combine with "Buying Juice" to make some interesting new tactical gameplay.

e.g.1. No juice grinding and pickups! You have to BUY juice! Use it wisely!

e.g.2. No juice at all! Use raw firepower and strategy to win!

e.g.3. Make it easier to even the field between newbie and pro by increasing juice rates, and disable juice vendors. This way, it doesn't matter how much money or kill farming you did, if you die a lot it's gone, so learn to survive! This can promote new players to learn how to play as a team, relying on each other to escape/heal when hurt, to stick close and avoid getting wiped, being directly rewarded for doing so by obtaining juice time.

There's other situations you could make using all the other rules too. And it also leads to ideas for Mutators (think: Borderlands Mad Moxxi DLC, where every round had a random custom rule e.g. all players move twice as fast, shoot twice as fast, explosions are bigger etc.) or perhaps these could eventually develop into full-blown game mode variants.

I'd like to see 20-30 minute regulation time and no overtime

This I can do; the first response I can't do - I can only manipulate what's in the offered-up options. :)

Looking for other input or +1's of other people's ideas.

One day hopefully we can get some NO JUICE servers up, but for now maybe a 30 minute match so it will most likely end before overtime can kick in.

I mean, if you're not winning by the time everybody on a team is level 3 in all their skills, additional time isn't really going to change that, since both teams will have more money to spend upgrading and replacing turrets, and if you're taking them out regularly during the course of normal gameplay then you'll likely win.

"No Juice Buying" is an option for servers. I could set that and a 30 minute match. Would that be popular with other folks?

That would probably be cool. I've got a server up with all the lower options unchecked, and the time limit at 25 or 30 minutes (don't remember exactly) It's been full since I started it, so I assume it's what some people want.
