Allow people to change the symbol in front of their money, so they can have pounds sterling or yen instead of dollars!

But if you use Yen, the value of everything drops dramatically...

Then put in one or two superfluous 0's after all the prices!

Well, its the future. Maybe the American dollar is now the world's currency, seeing as how there is a president of the world for life.

Why is it a waste of time? Even in RollerCoaster Tycoon, it felt nice to be able to pick pounds, yen, AU$, pesos, whatever the hell you want!

Actually the reason that the dollar is included(besides the obvious fact) is that the trade currency is currently based off of the dollar. For those of you that dont know what i mean its that Yen, Euros ,and any other currency you come across is equal to a certain amount of dollars. For example $1 is equal to .731315 Euros. That's how the trade system works. Everything is converted into dollars for a transaction.

+2. not worth making poor eka work any harder for. besides, do you want currency or new maps?

and i think you mean the dollar is the current most trusted currency. any money is worth a certain amount of another money, it doesnt have to go through a dollar, it just usually does for stability.

Interesting Fact: The Post-WWII hyperinflation of Hungary held the record for the most extreme monthly inflation rate ever 41,900,000,000,000,000% (4.19 1016% or 41.9 quadrillion percent) for July, 1946, amounting to prices doubling every 13.5 hours. The largest denomination banknote ever officially issued for circulation was in 1946 by the Hungarian National Bank for the amount of 100 quintillion pengo (100,000,000,000,000,000,000, or 1x10^20; 100 million million million). (There was even a banknote worth 10 times more, i.e. 1x10^21 pengo, printed, but not issued.)

bet it wont even come close. too many crutches in the way anyhow for it to get that bad. for it to get that bad, the rest of the world would have to approach nonexistance as far as economy, because its so interlocked.

Well this has turned into a suprisingly informative thread.
Back to the OP - don't fix what isn't broken. It's fine as it is.
