I think you guys should make this a new gametype. Basically, it's Crossfire, all the same rules, but you can only join in a party of 3-6 people. The first team in the room gets host, and waits for a party of the same size to join the game on the other team. This would cut down on the individual players who get host and rage quit. It would also make for more intense matches as you wouldn't get alot of 5 person parties playing against the 5 people who aren't in a party and decide to go 3 assassins and 2 snipers. It would also make for better games for solo players, because they would play full teams less often.
Yeah, so basically, teams can play other teams in a public match setting, and individual players don't have to play against stacked teams as often.
Not a ranked match, because even privates count towards ranking up. Just a "Crossfire Team" and a "Crossfire Solo" basically. No solo players in the "Crossfire Pro" option...also, no stacking parties (ie a 3 person team and a 3 person team vs a 6 person team). One party vs a party of the same size. Simple, effective, fun.
I do like the sound of this idea, but finding a party of the exact same size might sometimes take a while (especially 6).
Yeah, matchmaking would be slower but I think that's a tradeoff players willing to play like this would be able to accept. Have some MNC fans on my friendslist now but still dont get much chance to play with them yet, so it doesn't affect me either way, might as well approve!
Premade teams? Teams that are composed beforehand instead of just jumping into Quick Match with a bunch of random people.
This is where I say take a tip from CoD. Have a mercenary playlist, small team playlist, then the regular.
Oh yeah, exactly. This idea would be fairly easy to implement, and not affect anyone negatively. If you play solo alot, all it does is pit you against solo players more often, so you don't play people who actually work together to spawn trap you. If you play as a team, it gives you better competition who is less likely to quit on you. The only thing is you would NEED to match parties of the same size up. Kinda pointless if you start a 4v6 if no one can join during the game.
IMO all we need is a ranked playlist that utilizes Trueskill, and is numerically and symbolically displayed. Yes, I said it.
