I was wondering, what does everyone think is the best use for crits? Seemingly every class except the Support can greatly benefit from a crit endorsement(since he has no especially rapid fire weapon post-patch), but which are the best ways of using them?
To be honest, I really don't think that there is any setup where a crit endorsement is the best choice.
The support an crit with his heal/hurt gun, but I don't use that with a lot so you would have to ask someone else if crit is worth using with a support.
Crit was decent on the support pre-Title Update before RoF worked on the heal hurt gun. It was the only way to increase the DPS of that weapon. I really wish we knew the numbers for crit (including % chance and % damage increase) so that people would start trying crit builds more often. It just does not make any sense to right now, because we don't know how big of a gamble we are taking by putting Crit in the gold or silver slot as opposed to RoF and/or Armor.
Not sure about the numbers, but it really seems like only the Gunner and Assault benefit much from crit endorsements. I tried out every class with Achille's in Blitz today and found that really only the assault rifle and (dual) minigun gain a significant enough boost from the endorsement to justify it's use. Support? It seemed like the Heal/Hurt Gun was just doing a teensy bit more damage than usual, but I couldn't tell when it was critting. Tank? Same as support but with the jet gun. Sniper? The SMG didn't do any noticeably increased amounts of damage even when juiced. Assassin: The endorsement did not appear to stack with decloak crits, so I've concluded that Assassins shouldn't waste the any endorsement slot on crits. Deployed Gunner minigun just has a crazy high crit chance when deploy is fully upgrade Assault's rifle seemed to have a decent boost in damage, but it wasn't nearly as noticeable as a deployed Gunner.
Assault on passive 3 with gold crits. That guarantees you a good amount. Tho Id still prefer Rate of Fire over Crits any day
