I bought early access from steam yesterday and since then I have only been able to play one game vs the AI.

When I create a game to play vs AI the loading either takes forever or the game becomes unresponsive. If I do get into the 'game' the screen is black and I can't do anything or the game crashes anyway.

When trying to play multiplayer via quick match i've sat in the queue for at least half an hour each time and the game has matched me with nobody. I also cannot click back to exit quick match and must force restart the game. This is extremely frustrating, i've been able to play one solid game vs the AI in about 15 or so tries of starting a game up and i haven't been able to play with quick match yet.

Well quickmatch doesn't work yet so don't try that.

And the long loading is most likely network related as your rig is certainly up to the job.

Make sure you set your region correctly as playing on servers from an other continent can cause quite some lag and long loading times

Ah ok that clears up one of the issues then thanks. I have set the region to Europe West and tried messing with the graphics settings on lowest and everything but nothing seems to work, the loading times are very long and it still either crashes or gives me a black screen.

If its the network side of things I assume its a problem with the ports, do you know which ones I need to forward? I have an extremely good internet connection otherwise.

PA is client-server game, it's not open any ports on client like P2P games. But you need to be sure there is no antivirus/firewall which might block game from connecting to servers.

Turning my firewall off seems to have done the job thanks, adding an exception to it doesn't work for some reason. Still got long loading times but I can now play, thanks! :)

You're not alone in the absurdly long load times. I've had them as well, and a couple people I played with yesterday mentioned that they hope Uber can fix it soon, which leads me to believe it's most definitely an issue on their end. I'm sure they're working on it, though!

Ah, that's brilliant Furlock! I hope for a fix to that soon, they're just a bit too long. I'm enjoying the game now that I can play :)
