    I am running "Beta Build: 58772" according to the PA Launcher. (None of the installed EXE files have useful version information, i.e., VERSIONINFO resources.)

    Windows 8.1, x64.
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 550 Ti, driver version 331.82.

    I see you have pretty recent drivers. Did you restarted your system after last driver update?

    Yes.

    I realized I was running old drivers, so I updated them and rebooted (to see if that would fix the problem) before posting the crash report.

    Ok it's fine. I don't see any standard reason that might cause your crash.

    But it's Coherent UI crash and I'm don't have pre-made instructions for submitting those. I'm PMed you so if you want to help with investigating your problem I'll waiting for answer.

    graphic driver reboot is no longer necessary at all on windows, especially with nvidia.

    Theoretically yes, but I'm process about 5-20 tech support threads on Steam every day and there was at least 5 players who have to reboot before updated drivers start work properly. They all had Nvidia GPUs.

    were these people using the steam driver updater? as that would make sense.

    huh apparently. for me it just opens the nvidia website.
