Hey guys what is everone getting for performance running servers. Kind of looking at dedicated only servers though.

what are you running for a cpu and what kind of loads are you seeing

To start off my CHI server is running a q9500 cpu and with six full servers was using about 43-51 % cpu and about 3 mb bandwith .Spikes of cpu load hit 60 % during map loads

My Dallas server running a q9300 cpu with 5 full servers around 46-53 % its also runing team speak. Spikes of cpu load hit 63 % during map loads.

I'm running two servers on a spare VDS system I got through nuclear fallout servers, hosted in Chicago. VDS machines have a dedicated processing cores, so cpu's aren't shared, and the virtualization is bare metal Xen, so performance is almost identical to a dedicated system. Though I do plan I making space on some of my dedicated machines for MNC in the near future.

Right now I'm running the two evlgaming.com servers, and they are full almost 24/7

I'm seeing about 1.2 mbps of usage right now, and there are only 20 players total on the machine (when I checked the graph). If I'm doing my math correctly, that's about 50kbps per player, which is loads more bandwidth than most games. I don't have any other servers /applications running. Your average source game uses 7kbps per player, and up to 15kbps if the server is running at 500fps etc.

Anywho, if those number are accurate, running two full servers for one hours time, with all the users connected for one hour, will use about 4gb per hour. YUCK

As for cpu performance, my processor is running at full blast. I have one core of an Intel Xeon E5520, and it's running at around 95-100 percent usage. Now normally this would mean TERRIBLE game play. As the server is lagging on the system. However, I haven't really noticed any lag. I live in Arizona, and my ping to Chicago is around 80-90, but I still don't notice lag.

So it's about 45-50% usage per server. and each server uses about 170,000 K of ram which isn't too bad.

    I run the BuzzKill servers.
I have two AMD Phenom II x6's and a q6600. Each Phenom hosts two games and the intel hosts one.

Phenoms runs around 30-45% under full load. (So 15-25% per host)
Intel runs around 45% under full load.

At school, I get 35mbps down and 25mbps up.
I don't really know what that means per player as I host other games on these servers, but i'll look into getting some more accurate figures.
Yeah I noticed, you are a busy guy. :)
