So in a flash of brilliance of debatable and most likely dubious luminosity, I wondered if Uber's planet generator would be appropriate for creating planets in Kerbal Space Program (a spaceflight sim game; see video trailer).

I say this because the developers of Kerbal Space Program have publicly discussed long term goals of creating procedurally generated solar systems, and if the technologies and scales used were similar, perhaps it would appropriate (when PA is done) to license the generator to the KSP dev team.

Mostly because it would be both crazy and awesome.

It would probably make more sense for them to cook up something else. Our generator is a lot more concerned with the geometry of the surface for playability. In a game where you just want the surface to look pretty you would probably use other techniques.

    A little brainwave:

Create a standalone planet generator that people can use to create video's or just nice pictures :)

Allow multiple solar systems with all kind of planets asteroids etc. With scaling options to make it usable for a game, or more realistic distances.

So you can generate income before the game is done. Or make it free after launch of PA and available for backers / preorders beforehand.
