in the case of a sniper/tank, do you guys consider shooting around a corner while most of you is exposed a glitch or a tactical advantage?
Personally, I never do it, but I don't have that much of a problem with it. I consider it a lazy and unskilled tactic. Strafing and bunny hopping is typically a much better tactic, giving you a greater range of LoS while being at least as difficult a target to hit. In fact, I really enjoy it when snipers do it. With RoF, I can typically land the 2-3 shots it takes to kill a sniper before he even knows he's being hit. For me, it's definitely easier to hit a smaller stationary target than a larger moving one.
It's cheap crap that usually makes me tighten up my try hard pants just to let them know my feelings on thee subject.
ask "ill monster" about how i fix that. (lvl3 product grenade KO) you dont need a direct line of sight. they arent impervious behind cover
nobody on my team went positive, but it was a classic case of one-team-DM-opposing-team-objective. i was on the opposing team, who killed bots, turrets, used the annihalator, and pros who blocked our bots. you were on the team where the snipers were making good k/d ratios
I think that it's a little more unfair for snipers than tanks. A tank won't one-shot you from across the map while he's hiding behind three ice traps and in his base.
Yes, but a sniper can only take 2-3 shots from a sniper rifle/mortar/grenade launcher etc. I find tanks that do this just a bit more threatening, because with their head covered they can sit there and eat a few hits while they take pot shots. Like I said before, when a sniper does this I can normally get the shots on him before he decides to move, a tank not so much. Still, a tank that does this is very annoying, since they can use this method to take out turrets, and if they have team members working the lane in front of them it's a bit hard to get them out of that position.
As a Sniper, I personally love it when other Snipers and Tanks do it. My exploding shots say "Hi. You're dead". Free kills are free kills.
