Yes. No mater where you buy game you will always play on UberNet, it's same multiplayer for everyone. You only need to open this link: https://store.uberent.com/Account/MyKeys Choose your key and convert it to Steam, it's give you Steam activation key which you need to activate though Steam client. This is one way action, you were warned. If you convert your game to Steam you'll technically be Valve client. You need to use Steam if you want to get updates though Steam.
