Planetary Annihilation needs a way to continue playing after a match is finished. Me and two of my friends played a 70 min match, 1 v 2. Me and my friend was losing badly, but manage barely to get to the moon. We knew if we didn't have dominance over the moon we would lose, so we decided to build engines to run in the moon to the planet. But out opponent needed to go, so he left, and the match ended. We wanted to keep playing just to see the moon and planet crash into each other. But it was no way of continued without an opponent.
It does need one, but not during beta. You're playing on Uber's servers, which they only have a limited number of. If you want to keep playing, then you're preventing other people from playing. Once servers are opened up to the public, then we'll be able to play forever.
Yes, if someone has fun playing after a match, then they have fun and they paid for the game...I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to Should not be at the top of the to do list though, but by release sure.
I voted yes because always good to give players more options then not, but apart from messing around in a sort of sandbox mode, I dont see why there would be much point in doing that though, yes would have been cool to see the moon crash into the planet, but its fairly easily achieved though
